Team partypoker’s Joao Simao wrote his name into our record book after he won the POWERFEST #60-HR: $50K Gtd Big Antes Deep Turbo for $13,250.
While this is nowhere near Simao’s largest prize won, due to him being an absolute baller in the online poker arena, it will be one of the Brazilian’s more memorable victories because it was his ninth POWERFEST victory, setting a record for the most POWERFEST titles won by one individual player. Well done that man.
Day 12 was nothing short of huge as $5,049,669 was paid out across 23 events, including more than $2 million in the $25,500 Super High Roller event. Without further ado, let’s check out today’s recap of the action.

The POWERFEST #57-SHR: $2M Gtd saw 82 entries of $25,500 processed which led to a $2,050,000 prize pool that was shared among the top 12 finishers.
All of the prizes were incredible, even the eighth-place finisher “Porsche911” walked away with $71,750! “MRGAMMON151155” was the seventh-place finisher and they banked $87,125 with everyone else securing a six-figure prize.
Sixth-place and $107,625 went to “Sundaynightking” before “BtchByTrade” locked up $143,500 and fifth-place. Then it was time for “ubica profi” to bust, their fourth-place exit being worth a cool $184,500.
“AndreyBolkonsky” was the penultimate elimination, falling in third-place for $266,500, which set up a heads-up clash between “Triple Sexy” and “CocaineKiller”. It was the latter who emerged from the battle unscathed and with an incredible $543,250 prize, resigning the runner-up to the $379,250 consolation prize.

Another $25,500 buy-in event took place on Day 12, namely the POWERFEST #58-SHR: $500K Gtd PLO 6-Max. The $500,000 guarantee was not only hit, 43 entries created a $1,075,000 pot, more than double the advertised amount!
The top six finishers got their hands on a slice of this massive sum with “massivec0nt” banking $58,109 for their sixth-place exit. They were joined on the sidelines by “JailWallet” and “ChimneyBarrel” who took home prizes of $75,250 and $96,750 respectively.
Third-place and the first six-figure prize went to “Junglemandan” who secured a $139,750 payout and when “ibeturaise” busted in second-place for $275,140, only “james_hu007” remained and they padded their bankroll with a massive $430,000 score.

The lion’s share of this, $137,634, went to the ironically named “NOLIMITHOLDEM” who defeated “TheRealGrizzly1” heads-up for the title. Our runner-up scooped $85,800 which should help numb the pain of falling agonisingly short of a POWERFEST title.
Others at the final table were “AggroAffi” (3rd – $52,800), “Carnotaurus” (4th – $38,500), “Simon_Trumpet” (5th – $27,500) and winner of the $25,500 PLO, “james_hu007” (6th – $18,700).
