If you’re following and/or participating in the partypoker adventures this fall, you’ve been quite busy. I recently spent eleven days in Nottingham, England for three major ‘live’ poker championships held at Dusk Till Dawn, all fuelled with the help of qualifying online at partypoker. There was the partypoker WPT500, The Devilfish Cup, and the partypoker WPT UK championship – all with £1m guaranteed prize pools!
There was a buzz throughout the festival at DTD (especially during the Devifish’s player party – ‘Great Balls of Fire’-water!). Think about it – three different tournaments (with buy-ins of 500, 5000, and 2000) within nine days, all with guaranteed 1m prize pools! “Congratulations” to the three champions – Ben Winsor in the partypoker WPT500, Lucas Blanco in the Devilfish Cup, and Luis Rodriguez Cruz for winning the partypoker WPT UK championship (which includes a season ending entry into the WPT Tournament of Champions at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, FL).
All this and the party is just getting started at partypoker. The partypoker.net WPT Montreal at the Playground Poker Club starts on November 11th. This is a televised WPT event and I’ll be there! I can’t wait. I’ll be leaving Montreal on Nov 18th and heading straight to the partypoker WPT Caribbean event at Punta Cana, Dominican Republic. This is a $1m guaranteed prize pool and as soon as it ends, the partypoker Million begins, which is a $2m guaranteed prize pool! Parties, golf, beach activities, and poker for mega-bucks. How can you beat it? Certainly, a BIG salute to Rob Yong, owner of Dusk Till Dawn, for playing a huge role in planning, qualifying, and guaranteeing the prize pools for this phenomenal Caribbean Poker Party! Incidentally, qualifiers are being flown from Birmingham, England to Punta Cana on a private plane. This will be a trip to remember!
And in case you’re fortunate enough to be there for the Caribbean Poker Party, there’s plenty more – you can also qualify for the partypoker MILLIONS – a £6m guaranteed event (which I hear could well be a £10m gtd prize pool before April) for a £500+£50 buy-in which will take place at Dusk Till Dawn April 18-23, 2017. YES, that’s right – 6m pounds (and probably going up)! This is
