One month after announcing the £5,000,000 guaranteed partypoker MILLIONS, the guarantee has now been increased by an additional £1,000,000 to £6,000,000.
partypoker MILLIONS, hosted by ambassador Mike Sexton, boasts the biggest ever guaranteed prizepool in Europe and will be making one player a millionaire, guaranteeing a minimum of £1,000,000 to the winner. MILLIONS will be hosted online on partypoker and live across the UK and in international cardrooms, culminating in the final days at Dusk Till Dawn from 18th April 2017.
The increased guarantee now means every player making day 3 will now be in the money for £5000. This also means that the number of players being paid will increase from 135 to 279. A new sample payout has been published here.
Explaining the reasoning behind increasing the guarantee just one month into the qualifying program, Simon Trumper- Tournament Director of MILLIONS said: “With a £550 Day 1 buy in and a £5,300 Day 2 buy-in, the payout must be attractive to both player bankrolls. Rob Yong asked me to work out a way that we could pay all players who make Day 4 but keep first prize at £1,000,000. Increasing the guarantee to £6,000,000 allows this plus makes the event more player friendly for our international partners who intend to run Days 1-3 at their venues.”
Group Head of partypoker Tom Waters said: “Not only can partypoker players win a share of £6,000,000, they will be able to qualify online from as little as $0.01. Online Day 1s run on partypoker every Tuesday night with the first 100 players making Day 2 receiving their £550 buy-in back courtesy of partypoker.”
