23.50

Tatjana Pasalic spoke to Nesrin “Ness” Kourdourli, who was the chipleader at the start of day 3 and made the final table:

23.50

We have the final table, Philip Legath has just been eliminated in 9th place! Three players saw the river on a board. El Sayed bet out for more than 200K and Legath shoved. “Ness” folded and Sayed quickly called with for flush, beating the set of sevens of Legath and sent him into the rail on the final table bubble.

23.15

On a flop, Javier Diaz bet 50,000 and Julien Robert raised for 110,000. Diaz called. Turn was a and Diaz bet again for 100,000. Again, Julien raised, this time to 270,000. As well as on the flop, Diaz called very quickly before moving all-in for 600K on the river, a .

Quick call from Julien with a set of sevens and Diaz had nothing – AJ for a – at least – complicated move. He’s eliminated in 13th place.

A few minutes later, Jerome Zerbib is eliminated when his pair of four failed to improve against the pair of sevens of Franck Pepe. He left the tournament in 12th place, winning 16,400 €

22.45

Peter Dieterling raised 100K on 24,000 blinds, action was folded around to “Ness” who raised enough to put Peter and his 600k stack all-in. He made the call with a pair of eights and is up against Ace-King. The flop was just a disaster for Peter: T-J-Q. The turn is another J bringing little hope for Peter who can catch an 8 or a J. But river is a 6 and Peter is out in 15th place. “Ness” is now sitting in front of 2.5M chips!

22.30

Alexandre Brivot moved all-in for his last 320,000 and got turbo-snap-called by Franck Pepe from the middle position. Pepe turned over a pair of aces, a sick setup for Alexandre who was happy to shove with . The board brought no help and Brivot is out in 14th place, winning 14,760 euros.

22.15

The pot was already big when Jerome Zerbib and Marvin Retteinmeier went all-in on a flop. Jerome bet out and Marvin raised to 118,000. Jerome tanked for a while and called, there was over 300,000 in the pot at this point. The turn was checked by both players. The river came a and Jerome bet 180,000. Long tanking from Marvin who eventually folded his hand. Jerome showed a pair of sixes for flopped quads!

22.00

We just lost our last PartyPoker qualifier. Paul Coughlan has been eliminated when he moved all-in on a flop with King-Queen and got called by Ace-Five. The river was a five, sending Paul into the rail and in the press room for a few minutes of talking.

Paul started playing poker 5 years ago and is not just a Texas Hold’em player but plays also Stud and other games. He qualified for only $40 and managed to finish 17th in this WPT. Congratulations to him and good luck.

19.35

We are on a 75-minute dinner break. 20 players left including PartyPoker qualifier Paul Coughlan.

19.30

Tyler Cornel shoved for 350,000 and got called by El Sayed. We had a classic coin-flip:

Cornel:
El Sayed:

The board ran and El Sayed made a flush on the river to eliminate Tyler Cornel, second in chips at the beginning of the day.

19.20

Sam El Sayed raised from early position and three players called behind. Estelle Denis completed from the big blind and all players saw a flop and Estelle moved all-in first for about the pot. El Sayed made the call and the others folded. El Sayed was slightly ahead with against the of Estelle. Turn was the , river the and Estelle is eliminated in 22th place.

19.10

Georges Chehade raised 100K on the button and Pierre Zerbib shoved for 500K from the small blind. Chehade tanked a while and made the call with , way ahead of Zerbib’s eights. The board brought no help and Pierre Zerbib is out.

19.05

Nitsche raised and Christian Kauffmann moved all-in. Action folded to Marvin Rettenmeier who also pushed all-in. Snap-call from Nitsche with a pair of Kings. Reittenmeirer held a pair of tens and Kauffmann a pair of deuces. Kauffmann was eliminated and Nitsche was down to 60,000 and ended up busting in the next hand. Marvin is now up to 1.2 million.

18.45

“Ness” limped on the button, so did Estelle Denis from the small blind and George Chehade checked his option. The flop was and Estelle bet 28,000. Both players called. On the turn , Estelle bet again, 38,000 this time and as previously, both called.

The river was a and both Estelle and George checked to Nesrin who bet 140,000. Estelle quickly folded but Chehade tanked a very long time before calling with . An excellent call, Nesrin had for a double-float that almost worked.

17.45

Our PartyPoker qualifier Paul Coughlan found aces to double up through Jean-Paul Pasqualini’s Ace-Queen suited. He’s back to more than 220,000.

17.10

The two last woman standing in the tournament, Estelle Denis and Nesrin Kourdourli, are now seated right next to each other.

16.40

One more big pot for Dominik Nitsche. On the turn, the board was and Hassan Fared bet 150,000. Ten seconds later, Nitsche moved all-in for 430K more. Long tanking from Hassan who eventually laid down his hand, asking the dealer to do a rabbit hunting. He did not get it, but we can assume he was on a good draw.

16.30

Ilan Boujenah had a bad start on day 3, but he is now back on a good winning streak. First, he doubled with King-Queen against Ace-King when he caught the last Queen of the deck. A few hands later, Alain Pasqualini was busted by Ilan on a bad setup: trip aces for Alain and full house for Ilan.

The very next hand, Victor Soares moved all-in under the gun with only and Ilan made the call with a pair of Queens. First card on the flop was a Queen and Ilan had another victim.

15.45

Ilan Boujenah keeps running bad. He just lost another 330,000 with Queens against Aces. He still has more than 600,000 in front of him though.

Jerome Zerbib had ended the tournament of Anastasios Belesis with  against on a  board.

15.30

Huge pot for Dominik Nitsche. He 3-bet a raise from “Ness” and got 4-bet for 220,000. He shoved all-in for more than 600K total and got his opponent to fold. A pretty nice profit.

15.15

Malik Nouri started the day with only 20,000, and now he has 240,000 in front of him. He moved all-in first time and got no customers. One hand later, he shoved again and got snap-called by Senninger with Queens. Nice timing for Malik who had Aces and won the pot.

A little bit later, Nikolaï Senninger busted out. With a pair of sixes, he was all-in against the Ace-Ten of Georges Chehade who won the flip.

14.45

PartyPoker qualifier Bertrand Leonard has been eliminated. He shoved with a pair of fours and was called by a pair of tens. No miracle for Bertrand.

The story was good: Bertrand qualified online on a heads-up championship. He played more than twenty heads-up matches to qualify for the final tourney, a 64 player heads-up tournament and won it.
Nice return of investment for the Frenchman.

Big double-up for Marvin Rettenmaier, he was all in and called with against Ace-Nine on a flop. His hand held up and Marvin doubled up to nearly 800K!

14.30

We asked PartyPoker qualifiers and other players what animals they are at the poker table. Check out the answers:

13.45

Two PartyPoker qualified players are in this day 3: Paul Coughlan and Bertrand Leonard, but they’re both short-stacks and need a quick double-up.

Blinds are going to be 6,000/12,000 with a 1,000 ante. The day will end when we reach 8 players or at the end of level 27.
