We’re just about a day away from The Big Game VII taking place in Barcelona. Remember: it’s starting Monday, 8th of April at 4 p.m.
Over the last two days we had a look at some of the confirmed players for the Big Game. After Raul Mestre, Max Pescatori and Tony G it’s Daniel ‘Jungleman’ Cates’ turn.
He is probably the youngest player we’re going to see at this Big Game table (he’s actually exactly one day younger than Toby Lewis). His young age didn’t stop him from accumulating a huge amount of victories, titles and cash.
Starting out small in cash game, he soon realized that he can beat literally everyone when playing heads up. He’s the guy to beat if you want to build some reputation at the poker table. That said, he had a pretty rough Big Game VI in 2012. At the Montesino Casino in Vienna he ended up losing more than €80,000, thus being the player with the biggest loss at that table.
Will that affect his game? He recently won $100,000 for finishing 5th in the PartyPoker Premier League VI and should have a lot of confidence coming to the Big Game.
