Canadian becomes latest to join site’s streaming revolution

partypoker has announced the latest player to join its exclusive Team Online stable as Canada’s Ryan Schoonbaert.

Something of a mixed-game specialist, Ryan’s versatility marks him out as an excellent all-rounder, competent at almost any game format. The Canadian is equally at home at the the PLO, Omaha 8, HORSE and 8-Game MTT tables as he is playing No Limit Hold’em.

Although Ryan is now a well-established online player and streamer, his formative poker years were spent within the casino walls of Calgary, Alberta, where he wasted no time in establishing himself as a player to be reckoned with at the $1/$2 stakes before rapidly graduating onto $10/$25.

The 27-year-old’s streams make for compelling viewing. Given his all-round experience, Ryan is able to offer a unique perspective on hands, regularly putting in marathon streaming sessions that chart his progress.

Ryan said, “I’m very proud and excited to be one of the initial members to join Team Online, and can’t wait to continue moving up the stakes while streaming the entire journey on Twitch.”

Ryan joins Matt Staples, Hristivoje “ALLinPav” Pavlovic, Travis “dramaticdegen” DarrochPatrick “XxXMLGPROXxX” Tardif and Alan “hotted89” Widmann the new Team Online stable.

The creation of the team forms part of a wider company strategy earmarked for the following weeks and months with the focus on streaming quality, engaging content across partypoker’s main Twitch channel. Just recently, the site announced a partnership with “The Thirst Lounge,” a Twitch streaming channel launched in 2016 by high stakes player, Bill Perkins that encourages viewers to “live their best life.”

Plans also include a new partypoker high stakes cash game that will see some of the biggest names in poker invited to trade blows on the site’s virtual cash game tables, streamed live.

In addition, various current members of Team partypoker including Fedor Holz, Patrick Leonard and Ludovic Geilich will alternate in hosting partypoker Twitch streaming sessions, focusing on a range of poker topics.

Over the coming days, partypoker will be unveiling further new additions to Team Online.
