“Hotted89” found success in the gaming world before transitioning to poker
partypoker is delighted to welcome Alan “Hotted89” Widmann to its Team Online stable, comprising a select group of some of the poker industry’s premier streamers and content creators.
Alan originally tasted success in the gaming world, before successfully making the transition into poker and subsequently onto Team Online.
It’s long been common for gamers to use Twitch as a vehicle to further their fledgling careers, but Alan can consider himself a true pioneer of the platform, sharing his MTT journey with his huge 286,000-strong Twitch following in a unique and inimitable way.
The Venezuelan quickly fused the skillsets required across both poker and streaming, and has seamlessly gone on to master the art of each.
Alan credits Swedish phenomenon Viktor ‘Isildur’ Blom with accelerating his poker development and the pair have formed a strong friendship. Viktor routinely offers advice to Alan, particularly on how to approach $10K buy-in tournaments.
Alan joins Matt Staples, Hristivoje “ALLinPav” Pavlovic, Travis “dramaticdegen” Darroch and Patrick “XxXMLGPROXxX” Tardif in the new Team Online stable.
The creation of the team forms part of a wider company strategy earmarked for the following weeks and months with the focus on streaming quality, engaging content across partypoker’s main Twitch channel. Just recently, the site announced a partnership with “The Thirst Lounge,” a Twitch streaming channel launched in 2016 by high stakes player, Bill Perkins that encourages viewers to “live their best life.”
Plans also include a new partypoker high stakes cash game that will see some of the biggest names in poker invited to trade blows on the site’s virtual cash game tables, streamed live.
In addition, various current members of Team partypoker including Fedor Holz, Patrick Leonard and Ludovic Geilich will alternate in hosting partypoker Twitch streaming sessions, focusing on a range of poker topics.
Over the coming days, partypoker will be unveiling further new additions to Team Online.
