Powerfest pays out a staggering $39.7 million

The $35 million guaranteed Powerfest saw an incredible $39,712,980 awarded to the 51,482 players who made it into the money or claimed the bounty from the heads of their opponents.

Of the 330 Powerfest events, 296 were won by unique champions, each of them having their names written into the partypoker history books. One player who is most deserving of a special mention here on the partypoker blog is “Stikeeez” of Austria who won four different Powerfest tournaments, the most of any other partypoker player.

Stikeez won the following events:

Powerfest #024: $20K Gtd PLO 6-Max for $5,325
Powerfest #030: $25K Gtd for $5,097
Powerfest #239: $150K Gtd High Roller for $36,957
Powerfest #268: $25K Gtd PKO Turbo for $4,259

Two other partypoker players who stood out from the crowd were Fabrizio “DrMiKee” Gonzalez and “HungarysHero.” Gonzalez navigated his way through the shark-infested waters to reach a most impressive 15 Powerfest final tables, while HungarysHero not only played the most Powerfest events (236) but also cashed the most times, too (86).

As for the biggest prize pool, that award goes to Powerfest #254: Championship Event: $3M Gtd Super High Roller. This $25,500 buy-in event saw a total of 127 entries processed and a $3,175,000 prize pool created. Not only was this the largest prize pool the massive $846,772 awarded to Ben “CowEyed” Tollerene for triumphing in the Super High Roller was the biggest prize awarded to a Powerfest champion.

Powerfest may be done and dusted until the next edition heads to partypoker, but you do not have long to wait if you want to get involved in another fantastic online poker festival.

The $5 million guaranteed Monster Series takes place from October 21 through to October 31 and during those 11 days, 140 tournaments are scheduled. The Micro-Level is reserved for buy-ins of $1.10 to $22, with the Mid-Level schedule featuring another 70 tournaments but with buy-ins of $11 to $215.
