Two more PartyPoker players wrote their names into the history books on September 15 when they became 2022 MILLIONS Online champions in their respective events. Sweden’s Alexander Ivarsson took down the $530 buy-in Super 500 for $88,292, with Vladislav Donchev of Bulgaria securing the $57,030 top prize in the $109 buy-in Super 100 event.

The Super 500 saw 1,063 PartyPoker players take to the virtual felt over numerous Day 1s, creating a $531,500 prize pool as a result. Only 155 of those starters were present and correct on Day 2, each having locked in at least $1,076 for their efforts.

Team PartyPoker’s Patrick Leonard was one of the first casualties of the evening. Top-tier grinders including Sami Kelopuro, Christian Rudolph, 2021 MILLIONS Online champion Endrit Geci, Team Online’s Jaime Staples and Matt Staples, plus Andras Nemeth cashed but missed out on a final table appearance.

Those who did reach the final table guaranteed themselves a payout of at least $10,506; things were getting serious.

Hungary’s Batha Cristian busted in seventh for $10,506 before Ognyan Dimov, the Bulgarian superstar, saw his tournament end in a sixth-place finish worth $14,020. Then came the elimination of Fabrice Bigot in fifth and Jesse Fonseca in fourth. Those players walked away with prizes of $18,947 and $28,329 respectively.

The penultimate exit was that of Slovenia’s Blaz Zerjav, his third-place finish awarding an impressive $41,741. Zerjav’s bust-out left Alexander Ivarsson heads-up against Karim Maekelberg. Nobody would have batted an eyelid had the heads-up duo struck a deal because there was a difference of more than $27,000 in the final payouts. However, the final two players concluded the Super 500 in the traditional manner, which meant Ivarsson collected $88,292 when he defeated Maekelberg heads-up, resigning the Belgian runner-up to a still impressive $61,071 consolation prize.

Donchev Does Bulgaria Proud

Bulgarian Vladislav Donchev gave his PartyPoker account a significant boost after he outlasted 3,922 opponents in the MILLIONS Online Super 100, and turned his $109 investment into a $57,030 payday.

Some 580 of the 3,923 entrants won a share of the guarantee-busting 392,300 prize pool, a min-cash tipping the scales at $224.Making deep runs but falling short of the seven-handed final table were such luminaries as Martins Adeniya, Will Kassouf, Niklas Astedt, Christian Jeppsson, and Diego Ventura.

All but two of the seven finalists saw their $109 buy-in swell to a five-figure sum. Juan Lamprea and Nicolas Maillaud, the first two casualties of the final table, still collected $6,293 and $8,462, which is a great result for a $109 initial investment.

Brazilian duo Joao Matos and Thiago Taira crashed out in fifth and fourth place respectively, finishes worth $11,857 and $17,267. The third-place exit of Emil Sjorgen of Sweden came with a cool $25,639, which gives him more than enough ammunition to end the MILLIONS Online series on a high.

Donchev locked horns and butted heads one-on-one with Brazil’s Lucas Vanzella. Donchev came out on top and received $57,030 for his impressive victory, leaving Vanzella to secure a $38,315 second-place prize.
