Joakim Andersson helped himself to a $77,484 prize when he took down the MILLIONS Online #12 6-Max High Roller Turbo event. Fifty-eight players bought in for $5,200 and only one remained after 4.75 hours of intense poker action; Andersson was that man.
Stellar names littered the chip counts through the tournament, as you’d expect from such a prestigious event. Team partypoker’s Isaac Haxton endured a torrid time at the tables, first busting in 57th place then re-entering and falling, permanently this time, in 48th.
Others who have to chalk this tournament down to experience after returning home empty-handed included Sergi Reixach, Justin Bonomo, Pascal Lefrancois, David Peters, Stephen Chidwick, Dario Sammartino, and Ole Schemion.
Zhang Bursts The Money Bubble

Michael Zhang burst the money bubble
Michael Chi Zhang, champion of the recent $2,100 High Roller Turbo for $49,983, was the unfortunate soul who burst the money bubble. Zhang’s tournament run ended in 10th place.
Elio Fox was the first superstar to help themselves to a slice of the $290,000 prize pool. Fox banked $12,615 for his ninth-place finish, the same prize awarded to Team partypoker’s Mikita Badziakouski who was the next player out of the door.
Daniel Dvoress’ purple patch of form continued with yet another cash in a massive event. The Canadian’s tournament ended abruptly in seventh for a $13,926 addition to his bankroll.
Sweden’s Niklas Astedt and Austrian high stakes grinder Matthias Eibinger busted in sixth and fifth-place for scores of $16,184 and $19,314 respectively.

Sam Greenwood came close to winning yet another major tournament
Fourth-place and $26,087 went to Sam Greenwood, a player who always shines brightly in our biggest tournaments. Nick Petrangelo joined Greenwood on the rail after running out of steam in third, a finish worth $37,626.
Petrangelo’s exit left Andras Nemeth and Joakim Andersson heads-up for the title. The talented duo struck a deal to flatten the remaining payouts somewhat. That deal left $2,000 for the eventual champion, and it was Andersson who got his hands on this extra sum after defeating his Hungarian opponent in the one-on-one section of the tournament.
