Canada’s Sam Greenwood has secured another partypoker LIVE MILLIONS title after he triumphed in the €50,000 Super High Roller at the partypoker LIVE MILLIONS Grand Final Barcelona.

Greenwood excelled at the Caribbean Poker Party in late 2017, finishing third in the $10,300 MILLIONS High Roller for $124,100, second in the $25,300 MILLIONS Super High Roller and then winning the $5,300 MILLIONS Main Event for $1,000,000. Greenwood has started the MILLIONS Grand Final Barcelona festival in thrilling style by banking a €1,000,000 cash prize.
The final day’s play saw seven players return to their seats including Team partypoker’s Joao Simao who started the day with a 10 big blind stack. Almost immediately after the restart, Keith Tilston opened to 900,000 with blinds at 200,000/400,000/400,000a, Matthias Eibinger three-bet all-in for 5,075,000 and Tilston called. It was for Tilston and for Eibinger. The board ran to gift Tilston a full house and resign Eibinger to a seventh-place finish.
Simao Crashes Out
Queen-jack then claimed the tournament life of Simao in sixth-place. Down to less than three big blinds, Simao moved all-in from under the gun with and Sergio Aido isolated him with a three-bet on the button with . Aido improved to two pair on the flop and when the turn and river fell and it was game over for our hero.
The final five became three with two eliminations in quick succession. Jean-Noel Thorel crashed out when his lost to the of Greenwood with Greenwood flopping an ace and then Tilston’s couldn’t get there against the of Patrik Antonius.
Antonius Falls in Third
Third-place went to Antonius. The flying Finn started the day as the chip leader, but couldn’t find his rhythm. The final hand took place during the 350,000/700,000/350,000a level and saw Aido open to 1,850,000 and Antonius call. The flop saw Aido check, Antonius move all-in for his 7,800,000 stack and Aido call.
Antonius turned over and Aido the . The turn put even more draws out there with the river improving Aido to a flush. Game over for Antonius and a €400,000 consolation prize.
Greenwood eventually emerged victorious, which was an incredible achievement in its own right but Greenwood was down to 600,000 chips at the 250,000/500,000 level. The final hand saw Greenwood min-raise to 2,400,000 with and Aido call with . Aido checked, Greenwood bet 1,200,000 on the flop and Aido called. Aido then check-called a 5,000,000 bet on the turn. Aido checked for a third time on the river, Greenwood set Aido all-in for his last 14,100,000 and Aido called with third-pair only to be shown Greenwood’s top pair.
The €50,000 Super High Roller champion now plans to continue his impressive form in the €100,000 Super High Roller event. Can he emulate his success in the Caribbean? Only time will tell.
