Thomas Boivin is enjoying a purple patch of form, and great players tend to reap the rewards when they combine playing great with running good. Boivin is doing exactly that; the tournament grinder has won not one, not two, but three MILLIONS Online KO events! Imagine that, becoming a MILLIONS Online KO champion three times during the same series!
Boivin is a seasoned professional poker grinder, one with more than $3.5 million in online poker winnings and an additional $4 million from the live poker grind. He has won dozens of tournaments over the years, and now gets to call himself a triple MILLIONS Online KO champion.
His first victory came in Event 31, the $530 buy-in 8-Max. Boivin outlasted 83 opponents on his way to glory; his win came with $12,416, including bounty payments. The final table was a star-studded affair, with our Philippe D’Auteuil and our very own Matt Staples present and correct. Their deep runs ended in eighth and seventh place respectively.
Manuel Carvalho, champion of the MILLIONS Online KO Weekender recently, finished in fifth place, with Luciano Hollanda and Giuseppe Orlando being the next to fall. Boivin then defeated Jonathan Proudfoot heads-up to secure the title and the lion’s share of the $50,000 prize pool.

Boivin Binks Second MILLIONS Online KO Title
Boivin’s second MILLIONS Online KO win came in Event 34, a $215 buy-in 7-Max tournament that saw 220 entrants create a $44,000 prize pool. Almost $8,000 of that pot, $7,995 to be exact, is now in Boivin’s PartyPoker account.
Again, Boivin didn’t have an easy ride on his way to the winner’s circle, especially in the latter stages when the likes of former MILLIONS Online champion Benjamin Chalot was still in contention. Chalot ultimately busted in 11th place.
Eventually, Boivin found himself heads-up with British star Charlie Combes, a player that Boivin likely knows well from the online poker grind. Boivin got the job done and his hands on $7,995, leaving Combes to collect the $3,077 consolation prize.
