Think of Phased tournaments in the same way as you would a major live poker event with its multiple starting flights or Day 1s. The Big Game features Phase 1s costing $530 to buy into, although you can win your way into a Big Game Phase 1 from only $1.10.
Players in a Big Game Phase 1 tournament sit down with 50,000 chips and play to a blind structure that increases every six-minutes; one re-entry is permitted. The Phase 1s conclude when only one player remains or at the completion of the 24th level, whichever comes first.
Progress from a Big Game Phase 1 and your chip stack is automatically uploaded to The Big Game: $1M Gtd [Final Phase] on Sunday 5th May at 20:00 CET. You can play in as many Big Game Phase 1s as you wish, but it is only possible to take your largest stack through with you to the final; all other stacks are forfeited.
Of course, some of you may want to forgo the Phase 1s and buy into the Final Phase direct and this is possible. The Big Game: $1M Gtd Final Phase costs $5,200 to buy into and for that you receive a stack of 500,000 chips and play to a 15-minute clock starting at 2,500/5,000/600a. The final phase is a freezeout.
