Poland’s Marcin Wydrowski is now armed with 47,000 chips and has some extra breathing room in the WPT National London Main Event.
James Douglas and Wydrowski entered a preflop raising war that resulted in Douglas being all in and his tournament life being in the hands of the . Douglas was in pretty bad shape because Wydrowski had been dealt the best starting hand in Hold’em, . The flop kept the aces of Wydrowski ahead, the left Douglas needing an ace or six to chop; he couldn’t win. The sealed Douglas’ fate and left Wydrowski to scoop the pot.
Wydroswki, who was beaming from ear to ear as he spoke to his friend on the rail after that hand, is part of the exclusive Champions Club after he won the WPT Prague Main Event in December 2012. On that occasion Wydrowski picked up €318,295 in prize money, which included a seat to the WPT World Championship.
