Day 1a of the WPT Prague Main Event has been entered into the history books and it is the unknown Jan Remik who sits proudly atop the chip counts having turned his 30,000 starting stack into a more than impressive 209,300.
By the time registration closed after Level 4 of play, there were 231 players registered for the Main Event amongst those a total of 19 PartyPoker qualifiers, each of them entering the tournament with legitimate hopes of progressing through to Day 1 of WPT Prague and once there anything would be possible.
Our heroes suffered mixed fortunes during the duration of the ten one-hour levels with only five of them making it through relatively unscathed. There quintet are:
- Grayson Ramage: 128,300
- Tobias Reinkemeier: 109,700
- Florian Schleps: 89,100
- Russell Carson: 46,200
- Thomas Muehloecker: 28,100
These five will return on Saturday at 1400CET hoping to progress to Day 3 and beyond. Can they do it? Tune in Saturday to find out.
