Like a live poker tournament, such as the partypoker LIVE events, Power Series Mulitphase tournaments have several “Day 1s” called Phase 1. These run at regular intervals every day throughout the week and feed into the weekly final, which is held at 12:30 p.m. ET / 5:30 p.m. BST every Sunday.
Everyone sits down with 50,000 chips in a Phase 1, and each Phase 1 lasts for 16-levels. If you have chips in your stack when the 16th level concludes, you progress to the Sunday final with however many chips were in your stack. Should you progress to the Final Phase with a stack you’re not happy with, simply enter another Phase 1 tournament and see if you can navigate your way through with more chips.
Please note: While you can play as many Phase 1s as you wish, if you progress to the Final Phase more than once, only your largest stack is taken through with you.

As you can see, the $5.50 buy-in Featherweight Power Series Multiphase has a massive $50,000 guaranteed prize pool while the $22 buy-in Middleweight Power Series Multiphase tournaments have a $100,000 guarantee. When the Heavyweight edition kicks off on May 1, this will have a $250,000 guaranteed prize pool.
Those of you who want to get straight into the action and play in the Final Phase without having to qualify via a Phase 1 tournament can buy in directly to the final and start with a stack of 500,000 chips. The Featherweight final can be bought into for $55, the Middleweight for $215 and the Heavyweight for $1,050.
