A brand-new progressive knockout (PKO) Power Series tournament launches at 20:00 CET on Sunday 27th January that will forever be known as The Gladiator.

You like your PKO tournaments to have big bounties and even bigger guarantees and they don’t come much bigger and better than The Gladiator. Running every day at 20:00 CET, The Gladiator comes in buy-ins of $2.20, $5.50, $22, $55 and $320 with a $2,100 buy-in High Roller entering the fray on Sunday.

Guaranteed prize pools range from $2,000 for the $2.20 buy-in Gladiators up to a whopping $200,000 for the Sunday edition of this new and exciting event.

Buy-in Mon Tue Wed Thu Fri Sat Sun
$0.44 $500 $500 $500 $500 $500 $500 $500
$2.20 $2,500 $2,500 $2,500 $2,500 $2,500 $2,500 $2,500

These Gladiator tournaments are freezeouts, with the exception of the $320 and $2,100 buy-in games that allow one re-entry should you dust your staack off while late registration is open.. The bounties in the Gladiator could become huge because partypoker does not charge rake on the bounty element of any of our PKO tournaments!

Power Series Changes

We have some other Power Series related news while you are here and we’re sure you’ll love it.

First, we have flattened the PKO payouts to prevent the often large gulf between first and second-place prizes in these tournaments. First and second-place will now receive a similar prize from the main prize pool, the other final table members now receive more cash and the heads-up players will lock horns for what should be a substantial addition to their prize thanks to the bounties being so large during heads-up.

Some of our Daily Majors have had their start times changed, so be aware if you like to grind these. The new start times begin on January 27th and continue from that date onwards.

Old Time (CET) Tournament New Time (CET)
15:00 Bounty Hunter 16:00
16:00 Kick Off 17:00
17:00 Bounty Hunter 18:00
18:00 Warm Up 18:30
19:00 Bounty Hunter 19:00
20:00 Main Event 19:30

New Sunday Super High Roller Buy-in and Guarantee

Those of you who play in the weekly Sunday Super High Roller will notice that the buy-in and guarantee have both risen. We’ve boosted the guaranteed prize pool to $200,000 from $150,000, increased the buy-in to $3,150 and made it possible to re-enter once. The Sunday Super High Roller runs every week, including each time we run the $1 million guaranteed Big Game, including on January 27th.

Finally, you will notice there are more satellites to out $109 and $55 Pot-Limit Omaha and Pot-Limit Omaha Hi/Lo Power Series tournaments. These tickets are interchangeable meaning you can decide whether you use them for PLO or PLO8 events at partypoker.

Keep an eye out for the new satellites into the $320 buy-in and $3,150 buy-in events, too.

Thank you, as always, for your valued feedback that gives us the opportunity to make the changes you want in our Power Series tournaments. Good luck at the tables.
