Team PartyPoker’s Patrick “Patrick_Leonard” Leonard is one of the best poker tournament players on the planet. He is also the latest champion of our weekly flagship event, the $150,000 guaranteed Sunday Party.
On April 16, Leonard was the last player standing in the Super $320, a result that bagged the popular pro $7,983, including bounties. It was also the day that Leonard navigated his way to Day 2 of the $109 buy-in $150,000 guaranteed Sunday Party, giving himself the opportunity to win two high-stakes poker tournaments in the space of two days.
This weekend’s Sunday Party drew in 1,354 entrants, who fought tooth and nail for the lion’s share of the $150,000 guaranteed prize pool. Day 1 concluded when Leonard’s teammate, Matt “MatthewStaples” Staples crashed out in 16th place at the same time as 17th place finisher “Wuffwuffwuff88.”
Day 2 of the Sunday Party which has to be the best MTT online these days. Great structure, overlay, infinite satellites, players in from pennies and so much play for your money. Also sneaky (sneaky) win in @partypoker $320. All action on Insta stories as usual “padsonpoker” pic.twitter.com/Gg4UJ6dJzH

Day 2 shuffled up and dealt at 19:05 BST on April 17 with Leonard and 14 other PartyPoker players in the hunt for the title. “Jake.Paul,” who finished eighth in the Grand Prix Spring Main Event a couple of weeks ago, was the first player heading to the rail. They reeled in $1,539 thanks, in part, to almost $1,000 worth of bounties.
By the time the nine-handed final table was set, the least anyone could win from the main prize pool was $966 but that sum was significantly boosted by the bounty payments each player had secured.
The Sunday Party Final Table Results
Place | Player | Bounties | Prize | Total Prize |
---|---|---|---|---|
1 | Patrick_Leonard | $9,290 | $9,457 | $18,747 |
2 | ScumGame | $2,486 | $9,441 | $11,927 |
3 | Panipak | $1,883 | $6,237 | $8,120 |
4 | Sh0es | $1,280 | $4,036 | $5,316 |
5 | Byblood | $1,566 | $2,476 | $4,312 |
6 | thatsmaadted | $492 | $2,110 | $2,602 |
7 | SixBetShove | $632 | $1,547 | $2,179 |
8 | BlueRedJack | $950 | $1,225 | $2,175 |
9 | Ghggggg | $855 | $966 | $1,821 |
“Ghggggg” may have reached the Sunday Party’s final table but there time there was short-lived. Ghggggg crashed out in ninth place, and received $1,821 for their efforts. “BlueRedJack” joined the ever-growing list of busted players, their eighth-place finish coming with a $2,179 boost to their bankroll.
Seventh place and $2,179 went to “SixBetShove” before “thatsmaadted” saw their hopes of a victory shattered; they had to make do with a $2,602 sixth-place prize.
The jumps in prize money began growing larger, making each decision more fraught with tension. “Byblood” came unstuck in fifth, and saw $4,312 land in their PartyPoker account. “Sh0es” tripped up in fourth for $5,316, before “Panipak” busted in third for $8,120.
Panipak’s untimely demise left our very own Leonard one-on-one with “ScumGame.” Both players locked in more than $9,400 from the main prize pool, but the final PKO bounty payment was worth almost as much. The vastly experienced Leonard rarely loses once he finds himself heads-up, and last night was not one of those rare occasions. Leonard brushed aside his worthy adversary, and scooped up a total haul worth $18,747, resigning ScumGame to an $11,927 consolation prize.
