Brazilian superstar and Team partypoker Pro Renato “renato_nomura” Nomura is a 2020 KO Series winner. Nomura excels in our KO Series events and is the first Team partypoker player to win an event this festival.
Teammate Patrick Leonard enjoyed two final tables during the festival’s opening week. Nomura, however, is the first Team partypoker member to sample the sweet taste of success.

Nomura was one of 158 entrants in the KO Series #13-H: $20K Gtd PLO 6-Max event. This ample crowd ensured the $20,000 guarantee was blown out of the water as $32,548 was up for grabs.
Our popular member of Team partypoker was the last player standing and banked a combined $7,858 for his $215 investment. Nomura sent “StrongBow” to the rail in second-place, resigning them to a $3,976 haul.
“attitydsproblem” was the final table’s first casualty, busting in sixth-place. The aptly named “PLO-POT-POT-POT” fell next with “TheMightyThomas” claiming fourth spot.
“Brty” crashed out in third for $3,247, setting up a one-on-one battle for Normua. The Team partypoker Pro came out unscathed and as a worthy champion.
Shortly after his victory, Nomura said, “Really happy to win my second KO SERIES title, and this time in a PLO Event. Will keep grinding to win more!”
Nomura showed his PLO prowess by also finishing fourth in the $320 buy-in KO Series #22-H: $30K Gtd 6-Max for a combined prize weighing in at $3,189. What a guy!

Roberto “R_Romanello” Romanello came agonisingly close to victory in a Super High Roller event. The Welsh Wizard finished in second-place in the KO Series #21-SHR: $200K Gtd 8-Max.
Amazingly, Romanello didn’t pick up a single bounty on his way to being the bridesmaid. This meant his entire $19,371 score came from the main prize pool.
“BaBaDeBaBa” was the only player to outlast our hero. The player with a musical beat name won $19,392 plus $36,241 worth of bounties. They also won the KO Series #24-HR: $30K Gtd 8-Max Turbo for $12,716, the same tournament Hristivoje “All_In_PAV” Pavlovic finished third in for $3,169.
Another great day for Team partypoker players!

Kristen “Krissyb24” Bicknell, one of six female Team partypoker players, was also a runner-up. Bicknell ran out of steam at the final hurdle of the KO Series #20-HR: $100K Gtd 8-Max. The $16,194 Bicknell won went some way to softening the blow of not winning.
Belgian star Kenny “SpaceyFCB” Hallaert was the eventual victor, banking an impressive $31,803 in total. Hallaert’s prize had $19,654 worth of bounties thanks in part to the Team partypoker pro’s second-place exit.
We also have to give honourable mentions to Anatoly “NL_Profit” Filatov and Jeff “JeffGross” Gross.
Filatov won $6,629 for his sixth-place finish in the KO Series #40-SHR: $150K Gtd Mix-Max 8-6.
Gross saw his run in the KO Series #27-HR: $20K Gtd 6-Max PLO end in second-place. This netted Gross $5,334.
