Dutchman becomes eighth player to join exclusive team
partypoker is delighted to welcome Steven ‘DWstevie’ Kok to Team Online.
The Dutchman becomes the eighth player to join the exclusive team comprising the industry’s top poker creators and streamers.
A relative latecomer to the game, Kok developed an interest in poker through the streaming platform Twitch, and has since grown a sizeable following across his channel that is now over 10,000-strong.
The strategic element of poker immediately appealed to The Dutchman, initially finding his feet at the grassroots micro stakes. It was here where Kok once turned a $7.50 buy-in into a $3,600 payday that formed the catalyst for his young career, and in 2018, he joined the RaiseYourEdge team, offering advice and guidance on all things poker.
Similarly, Kok is often known to offer insights into his play across Twitch, whilst regularly charting his life and times on and off the felt.
Steven joins Matt Staples, Hristivoje “ALLinPav” Pavlovic, Travis “dramaticdegen” Darroch, Patrick “XxXMLGPROXxX” Tardif, Alan “hotted89” Widmann , Ryan “RSchoonbaert” Schoonbaert and Courtney “courtiebee” Gee in the new Team Online stable.
The creation of the team forms part of a wider company strategy earmarked for the following weeks and months with the focus on streaming quality, engaging content across partypoker’s main Twitch channel. Just recently, the site announced a partnership with “The Thirst Lounge,” a Twitch streaming channel launched in 2016 by high stakes player, Bill Perkins that encourages viewers to “live their best life.”
Plans also include a new partypoker high stakes cash game that will see some of the biggest names in poker invited to trade blows on the site’s virtual cash game tables, streamed live.
In addition, various current members of Team partypoker including Fedor Holz, Patrick Leonard and Ludovic Geilich will alternate in hosting partypoker Twitch streaming sessions, focusing on a range of poker topics.
Over the coming days, partypoker will be unveiling further new additions to Team Online.
