PartyPoker player mutenroshi6 from Germany is our latest qualifier to WPT Venice, which starts on February 3rd. Here is his story:
What route did you take to the final WPT Venice Satellite?
First of all it would be a pleasure for me to be featured on the PartyPoker blog. I qualified directly via the supersattelite (I think it was about 375$ buy in). I had to try about 3 times.
Tell me how the final WPT Satellite went. What were the key moments?
Unfortunately I don’t remember any key moments, because I was playing about 10 other tournaments at the time (had 3 or 4 final tables this day).
Tell me about your PartyPoker story.
I started playing with as little as $5 about 5 years ago. When I reached 1/2 limit hold ’em tables with a very conservative bankroll management I started playing no limit 0.25/0.50. Now I play up to the highest stakes on PartyPoker in no limit hold ’em and the highest online tournaments (with a good ROI over a very large sample), like the 100k highroller on PartyPoker.

I like playing on PartyPoker because the software is very good (with timebank and many options for my personal needs). There are interesting promotions every month. A lot of players play on PartyPoker, that is why the tournaments have very large price pools (like the Monthly Million) and there is always a game running.
What do you think about WPT?
Unfortunately I have never played a WPT before, but I played a couple of EPT’d, ECPT’s, APP’s, APT and WSOP. I think the WPT should be very similar to those other tournaments. I will tell you when I reach the final table.
Any poker players you would love to meet and play against on at WPT Venice?
There are a lot of signed “pros”, who don’t even beat the nl100 games online and are break even tournament players online. They got lucky a couple times in big live tournaments and thats why they have a pro contract. I would like to meet all of them and prove that I am better.
