Sam Trickett may prefer high stakes cash games but he still knows his way around a poker tournament. He recently won a $25,000 buy-in event at the partypoker LIVE Super High Roller Series Sochi for $435,000. Now he has banked himself a POWERFEST title and $104,000 in prize money.

POWERFEST #112-SHR: $150K Gtd PLO 6-Max

The $5,200 buy-in PLO event attracted a field of 52 who created a guarantee-busting prize pool of $260,000. The compact field meant only the top six spots were paid with “BaBaDeBaBa” being the first player to cash, banking $14,054.

Fifth-place and $18,200 went to “DONKEY6666” before Team partypoker’s Joni “JJouhki” Jouhkimainen busted in fourth-place for $23,400. You may recall Jouhkimainen banked $92,000 earlier in the week, well he also won POWERFEST #110-HR: $100K 8-Max PKO Fast for $25,588 while grinding this massive event!

“idefix” was the penultimate bust-out of this event, crashing out in third and netting $33,800. This left our very own Trickett and “sukamibosak” to lock horns heads-up for the title and the tournament’s six-figure top prize.

It was our hero who came out of the battle unscathed and with $104,000 to show for his efforts. The runner-up still walked away with an impressive $66,545.

POWERFEST #109-SHR: $2M Gtd 8-Max

Trickett’s prize was impressive but it was blown out of the water by the cash offered in the $25,500 Super High Roller. A field of 90 players ensured the $2 million guarantee was beaten by $250,000, quite incredible.

Isaac “Ike_Haxton” Haxton fell in 10th place for $73,125, narrowly missing out on a final table appearance.

“Robbery9999” reached the final table but their time there was shortlived and they had to make do with the $78,750 eighth-place prize. They were joined by “CaptainJack95” who scooped $95,625, the last player not to win six-figures in this event.

partypoker regulars “Triple Sexy” and “NOLIMITHOLDEM” were the next players to bust. They padded their bankrolls with $118,125 and $157,500 respectively. Then came the exit of one of our player, Team partypoker pro Mikita “fish2013” Badziakouski. His fourth-place exit seeing his $25,500 investment swell to $202,500.

The prize money was going nuts at this point with third-place finisher “SuperNutz” banking $292,500.

More than $180,000 was the difference between first and second place yet no deal was struck. This meant that “MeisterTTT” collected $416,250 for their runner-up finish with “Piace1992” collecting a gargantuan $596,250.

Piace1992 won POWERFEST #19-H: $25K Gtd 8-6 Mix-Max Fast on March 17 for $10,261. What an amazing run they are on right now.

POWERFEST #110-SHR: $500K Gtd 8-Max

Another $5,200 buy-in event took place on March 26th, an 8-Max affair with $500,000 guaranteed. Its guarantee was surpassed by $15,000 when 103-entries were processed.

“CocaineKiller” was the last player standing in this huge tournament. Their first-place finish yielding a $126,175 score, the only six-figure prize of the event. They got their hands on this massive sum after sending “TheseApples” to the rail in second place, a finish worth $90,125.

Earlier at the eight-handed final table, “AndreyBolkonsky” and high-stakes mainstay “fromHolland1945” busted early doors. Their finishes resulted in $16,737 and $20,600 finding its way to their partypoker accounts.

“Mr.Toesie” and “Crackalackin” were the next players to run out of steam. They walked away with $25,750 and $33,475 respectively.

“El_Cucuy” busted in fourth-spot for $45,06 before the excellent “onehundredeyez” fell by the wayside to set the heads-up section in motion; third-place was worth $64,375.

CocaineKiller came out on top to win yet another massive prize. It definitely won’t be their last this series.
