Have you noticed that it is next to impossible to arrange a poker home game with your friends and family members? Just as you think you have a date set in stone, one or two of them pull out at the last minute, leaving you high and dry. Most of us lead busy lives, so finding the time to travel to someone’s house and play poker for a few hours is challenging, which is one of the reasons PartyPoker created Club Games.
Club Games make it possible to create and manage a personal poker club within the PartyPoker software. You would be forgiven for thinking that setting up your little corner of PartyPoker would be difficult, but we can assure you that it is as simple as we could possibly make it.
Step 1: Create Your Club
Start by clicking the “Club Games” tab in the PartyPoker lobby from your computer or laptop. Click “Create Club” and a window pops up on your screen. Choose a club name, a password, and add a little description of your club, if you wish, before agreeing to the terms and conditions, and clicking the orange “Create Club” button.
Our software instantly creates your private poker club; now all you have to do is create some games, and invite your friends. Star by clicking the “Open Club” button on the right-hand side of the screen within the Club Games tab. The window that opens on your screen has a trio of tabs. The first shows your club’s current members, the second is where your cash games are displayed, and the third is where you can manage your club, including accepting and removing members.
Step 2: Create Your Private Cash Games
Let us focus on the “Game Admin” tab first so we can create some private cash games at PartyPoker.
Once in the Game Admin tab, click the orange “Create Game” button to start building your perfect cash game. Give your game a name before deciding if you want to play No-Limit Hold’em or Pot-Limit Omaha. Choose from heads-up, six-max, or eight-max tables, then what stakes you want to battle it out with your friends. Current stakes range from $0.01/$0.02 up to $1/$2.
It is possible to add an ante to your games if your stakes are $0.02/$0.05 or above.
There are four choices for the minimum and maximum buy-in size. Will you opt for the all-in or fold 10 big blind starting stack, a 50 big blind stack, the traditional 100 big blind stack, or sit down in a 200 big blind deep-stacked affair?
Your last decision relates to the game’s speed. Select regular to allow up to 15 seconds to act, Slow to allow you and your players 20 seconds thinking time, or fast for only seven seconds.
Click the orange “Create Game” button once you are happy with your game. You can repeat the process to create any game you wish within the current possibilities.
Step 3: Invite Your Friends
All that is now required is to invite people to join your club. Clicking the orange “Invite” button in the top-right of your club’s lobby. Copy the text in the pop-up window and send it to your friends and family on email, text message, or social media, and they will be able to join you at the tables.
