Day three action of the WPT Bellagio Cup is underway. 353 players have registered for the Bellagio Cup this year, a big success! Last year less than 300 players played this $10,000 event.
Very interesting fact about this WPT event is that the deadline for player registration has been extended through the 1st level of Day 3 (1:30pm Tuesday 13th July) to accomodate WSOP Main Event bustouts.
Phil always late but surely not this late?
Phil Hellmuth announced yesterday via his Twitter account that he will be making his appearance at the last possible moment. This will make it the latest entry to a poker tournament in history.
Accompanied by WPT’s Royal Flush Girls the Poker Brat has entered the tournament over 48 hours after it first started and at the end of the 11th level!
Phil Hellmuth is always “fashionably late” to poker tournaments. He was two hours late when he won the world championship in 1989 and he’s come in late to every tournament since then.
He sat down with 40,000 chips and the blinds at 1,200/2,400 at 1.30pm! Phil Hellmuth said “I am serious about winning!”
