Last night partypoker treated the 12 Premier League 7 guests to a lavish party at the fantastic W Hotel that’s found just downtown in Montreal. In between the chit chat partypoker’s very Kara Scott and Jesse May held a draw to determine just who would be facing who in the upcoming  heats in the Premier League VII. Each participant was assigned one of 12 cards represented by a spot throughout the various heats of the tournament.

(Slightly) New Structure

The structure of partypoker Premier League 7 has been tweaked following consultation with the players and now features 12 players playing six eight-handed heats, with each player competing in a total of four league matches.

Players are awarded pints based on their finishing position, with each point worth $2,000 in cold, hard cash. The top four points earners progress to the final table, while the next four places square off in a series of best-of-three one-on-one matches for the last two spots in the six-handed grand finale.

The action is set to start on Wednesday at 6 PM EST at Playground Poker Club in Montreal and the tournament will be recorded for television.
