The High Roller Big Game was packed full of poker’s superstars once again on November 29 and it was a true star that shone the brightest.
Netherlands’ Teun Mulder is both feared and respected in equal measure thanks to his fearless approach for the game and the fact he’s racked up some incredible results over the years. Mulder added the High Roller Big Game title, and its $84,806 top prize, to his long list of accomplishments.
It could have been oh so different, however, because Team partypoker were out in force for this tournament.
The top 20 finishers from the 147 starters received a slice of the $375,750 prize pool and five Team partypoker players navigated their way to those payouts.
Dzmitry Urbanovich fell in 19th and banked $5,824 with Roberto Romanello running out of steam in 14th, a finish worth $6,951. Fresh from his Caribbean Poker Party Main Event final table run, Isaac Haxton added the $8,454 11th place prize to his bankroll.

Kristen Bicknell
The other two orange diamonds made it through to the final table. Kristen Bicknell had to make do with the $9,957 ninth-place prize leaving Jordan Drummond of Team Online fame to fly the partypoker flag.
Drummond finally came unstuck in sixth-place, a finish with $17,848.
Mulder still had plenty of work to do even with these superb players out of the way; any of the final five would have made a worthy champion.
Pascal Hartmann’s run ended in fifth-place ($22,545) with Adrian Mateos falling in fourth ($31,938), and David Yan in third ($44,458).
This left Mulder heads-up with his fellow countryman Pascal Teekens. Mulder got the job done and claimed the $84,806 top prize for himself, leaving Teekens to scoop the $61,051 consolation prize.

There was another familiar name at the top of the payouts in the $530 Big Game, that of British grinder Sam Grafton.
Grafton has more than $8 million in online poker tournament cashes and he now has an additional $47,942 thanks to being the last man standing from a field of 526-entrants.
Dozens of household names made it into the top 72 places where the $260,450 prize pool was distributed. These included Ole Schemion (52nd – $1,250), Team partypoker’s Dzmitry Urbanovich (42nd – $1,328), Steve Watts (22nd – $2,239), Jon Van Fleet (19th – $2,239), and Samuel Vousden (12th – $3,437).
The nine-handed final table was packed with talent, talent that headed for the sidelines one-by-one. Fifth-place finisher Thiago Crema was the first player to pad their bankroll with a five-figure prize. Crema, of Brazil, won $11,459.
Hungarian legend Peter Traply busted in fourth for $16,278 with Crema’s fellow Brazilian Diego Bittar collecting $23,276 when he crashed out in third.
Grafton and Kenny Hallaert locked horns heads-up and it was Grafton who emerged from the battle with the $47,972 top prize. Hallaert reeled in the $34,146 runner-up prize.
