Day 8 of the $2.7 million Monster Series was the final day of the online poker festival and saw another 18 champions crowned and another $654,475 in prize money paid out despite the tournaments’ buy-ins ranging between $0.44 and a still affordable $33.

“Diogo37” goes down in the poker history books as the Monster Series’ biggest winner after they won the Monster #38-High: $300K Gtd Championship Event. A fantastic turnout of 8,100 players bought in for $30+$3 and while this left a $57,000 overlay, none of the 1,048 players who navigated their way to the money places were bothered as it meant their prizes were more substantial.
A min-cash was worth $81, a final table appearance paid $2,709 but Diogo37 walked away with a bankroll-boosting $45,375 after coming out on top. Diogo37 defeated “El_Magico” heads-up to secure the title, leaving El_Magico to collect $31,749.
Two other players banked five-figures scores: third-place “I_Felt_U” won $20,343 and “LaMinera” locked up $13,206 for finishing fourth.

Monster #37-High: $100K Gtd

“Omariojunior” turned $27 into $15,900 by winning the Monster #37-High: $100K Gtd. A brilliant turnout of 4,210 players meant the $100,000 guarantee was surpassed by $3,355 and omariojunior took full advantage of the chunky prize pool.
Everyone at the eight-handed final table locked up at least $992 with the final two players guaranteed a five-figure addition to their bankrolls. The first player to scoop five-figures was “pow1970”, the tournament’s runner-up. Pow1970 is now $11,100 richer for their $27 investment while omariojunior can brag of a $15,900 score.

Monster #36-High: $50K Gtd was one of the events that kicked off the final day of Monster Series and despite most of Europe, and the United Kingdom in particular, basking in glorious sunshine, the $50,000 guarantee was smashed by more than $7,500.
The final six players of the eight-handed final table won a prize weighing in at four-figures. “Oi-oi-oi” was the sixth-place finisher for $1,317 with “RichHomieDwan” banking $1,926 for finishing fifth.
$2,772 is now nestled in the partypoker account of “moneyymakerrPP” with “DONALDTEMER” winning $4,170 for their third-place finish. Heads-up saw “Johnny_PL” fall in second-place, a finish worth $6,445, which meant “getmechips” got the lion’s share of the prize pool namely $9,118,

Get Involved in the POWERFEST
Day 1 of the $40 million guaranteed POWERFEST kicked off on May 6 and it runs through until May 20. Some 366 events and at least $40 million will be played and paid out before the festival comes to a close.
There are buy-ins of $1.10 up to $25,500 so there is a POWERFEST event for everyone, regardless of the size of their bankroll.
