MILLIONS is on the way to Malta! Yes, its 2023 and the Party Poker Live MILLIONS Malta Festival is making its first ever stop in Malta, the Med’s liveliest poker destination. Taking up residence in the linked venues of Portomaso Casino and the Hilton International in St Julians, the cards will be flying from September 22nd through to October 3rd, with a packed festival schedule for live poker aficionados to get their teeth into.

While this is the first Party Poker Live MILLIONS event to take place in Malta, its not the first time Party Poker Live has held an event here. In 2022 the Party Poker Live Championship took place, with a €550 buy-in main event featuring a €500k guarantee! The UK’s Oliver Hutchins took that title and is likely to be back hunting for further success. This time the ante has been upped with the schedule including a €1m guaranteed €550 Party Poker Grand Prix, as well as the €3,000 MILLIONS main event, a €1k Mystery Bounty and the €5,300 Hydra Entertainment High Roller.

There will also be three days of live streaming from 1st-3rd October, hosted by Jason Glatzer and Matt Staples, featuring the final tables of the Grand Prix, the Mystery Bounty and the MILLIONS itself.  Special promotions will be run during each stream with passwords to exclusive online free rolls revealed on air.

The Poker Schedule

The festival has 33 events on its schedule that will play out, along with 24/7 cash game action, on 120 poker tables. With a wide range of buy-ins and tournament formats plus plenty of satellites into the key events, there is genuinely something for all live poker players during the festival week. The highlights include:

  • €550 Party Poker Grand Prix with a cool €1m guaranteed prize pool
  • Party Poker Grand Prix Early Bird Reduced Buy-in Starting Days
  • €3,000 Party Poker Millions
  • €5,300 High Roller
  • €1,100 Mystery Bounty
  • Omaha, HORSE and 8-game Tournaments
  • Ladies Event
  • Affordably priced side events and satellites into the Grand Prix and Millions

The full schedule of events can be found here (link to https://www.partypoker.com/en/live/millions-malta)

We will be here every day during the festival to bring you updates, news, results and stories that emerge during the course of the event.

Early Bird Offer

Early birds do get worms and we’ve got a massive wriggler for the Maltese poker community to get their teeth into! The1m guaranteed Party Poker Grand Prix will feature two starting flights at the beginning of the festival with a cut price buy-in. Yes, the usual €550 buy-in has been slashed to just €400 for flights 1a and 1b, taking place on 23rd and 234th September, before the festival fully gets underway.

This is an offer that is mostly going to be appreciated by local players, but of course is open to anyone, including any travelling players who choose to arrive a few days early, before the main action gets underway.

The first weekend of the festival is dedicated to this promotion with satellites into the the two early bird flights also taking place

Off the Felt

Party Poker Live has always been about more than the poker. Its about meeting players whom you might only otherwise know as a screen name and making connections in the wider poker world. Sharing time together at the felt and then socialising with the same players off-the-felt is something you can only experience at a live poker tour.

Malta has a lot to offer for tourists and poker is just one of the draws. Valletta is a small yet fantastic capital city which boasts museums, tree-lines Piazzas and abundant cafes, bars and restaurants. Malta has picturesque towns and villages, several megalithic temples (many of which are designated UNESCO World Heritage sites) and a rich cultural history. For the livelier crowd, night-club hotspot Paceville is just a short distance from the casino. Either way, fill yer boots!
