Bicknell has travelled the world playing poker tournaments. This year alone, the Canadian star has recorded cashes in major live poker tournaments in Australia, Canada, Panama, the United Kingdom, the U.S.A and Brazil; Bicknell’s dedication to the game is almost unrivalled.
All the travelling around the globe and dealing with different time zones has finally paid off for Bicknell, because when the Global Poker Index last updated its vast database, something special became clear; Bicknell is now the number one ranked female poker tournament player in the entire world!

Bicknell now has $951,691 in live tournament winnings and with the Caribbean Poker Party being right around the corner, we wouldn’t bet against her breaking through the $1 million barrier by the time the curtain comes down on 2017.
Some of the highlights of Bicknell’s year so far include winning C$71,820 in the C$5,000 WPT Fallsview Poker Classic, $96,823 in the $10,000 No Limit Hold’em 6-Max Championship at the World Series of Poker in Las Vegas, and more recently reaching not one, but TWO final tables in the WSOP International Circuit Brazil and grabbing R$148,000 in total.
This is a huge achievement not only for Kristen, but also for other female poker players around the world, who are gaining momentum and being more and more respected and feared at poker tournaments. In a game still dominated by mostly male players, it’s a breath of fresh air to see women like Bicknell achieve this level of success.
