It was another action-packed weekend for partypoker tournament players with more than half a dozen champions crowned in the latest round of MILLIONS Online KO Edition events. The United Kingdom’s Jamie Terrell got his hands on the biggest prize of the weekend’s festivities courtesy of him taking down the $162 buy-in $200,000 guaranteed Weekender tournament.
The Weekender drew in 1,520 entrants over the course of its trio of starting flights, ensuring the $200,000 guarantee was beaten by $28,000. Only 228 players made it through to Day 2 on May 22, each of them locking in a min-cash from the main prize pool.
Jerry Odeen, Joao Ferreria, Hristivoje Pavlovic, Ben Vinson, Christophe De Meulder, and current MILLIONS Online KO Edition Main Event chip leader Michael Gathy were among those who finished with a return on their initial investments.
Bradley Harwood reached the nine-handed final table but could not progress deeper than ninth place, which came with a $1,753 payday, including bounties.
Guilherme Ramalho Dos Santos ($2,280), Marios Zervoudis ($3,345), Roman Pavliak ($5,034), and Sergio Mediavilla De Pedro ($7,174) joined Harwood on the list of busted players.
The surviving quartet of players were now guaranteed a five-figure return and were only three eliminations away from winning a prestigious MILLIONS Online KO Edition title. Adriano Gabriel Volpe‘s deep run ended in a fourth-place exit, which came with $10,716. Then came the exit of Marcel Kessler of Germany who banked $13,917.
Jakob Miegel fought it out with Terrell heads-up. Both of the players locked in more than $14,200 from the main prize pool, leaving the substantial bounties up for grabs. Terrell got his hands on a $12,339 bounty payment when he sent Miegel to the rail in second place. His shove was called by and the board ran to hand him the title. Terrell won $26,567. Miegel saw $15,863 head to his partypoker account.
