Both the Warm Up and Mini Warm Up events from the Grand Prix UK series have crowned their deserved champions and it is Arian Hassankashani and Marlon Bruno Teixeira who are those winners. The former took down the $55 buy-in Warm Up for a cool $26,881, while the latter secured $7,144 after finishing in first place in the $11 buy-in Mini Warm Up.

An incredible turnout of 3,680 partypoker players ensured the $150,000 guarantee of the Warm Up was not only reached by exceeded by $34,000. The 545 players who reached Day 2 secured a slice of the $184,000 prize pool.

Team Online’s Matthew Staples was one such in-the-money player. The talented and popular Canadian ran out of steam in 397th place, a finish good for $118.24. Others who saw a return on their $55 investment included the likes of Adam Neal, Tomas Fara, Paul Allen, Vinnie Mohan, Christophe De Meulder, Patrick Hyllegaard, and Ben Warrington.

The seven-handed final table was fiercely contested, and the top three finishers walked away with five-figure scores, which is a fantastic return on a $55 investment. However, before those prizes were awarded, Ott Jackson ($2,939), Luigi Knoppers ($3,969), and Braulio Bianchetti Saint Yves ($5,580) busted. As did Franco Bucca whose fourth-place exit came with $8,149.

Brazil’s Jordan Piva fell at the penultimate hurdle and he collected the $12,123 third-place prize, leaving Marvin Unsworth of Mexico in a one-on-one battle with Arian Hassankashani for the title. Hassankashani slayed his final opponent and laid claim to the $26,881 top prize, leaving Unsworth to pick himself up, dust himself off, and bank the $18,091 runner-up prize.
