TFC08H qualifies for the WSOP for the second year in a row through PartyPoker.com
German player TFC08H has won a $14,000 WSOP package and this is the second time he’ll be playing in the iconic WSOP main event – last year he also qualified through PartyPoker.
So, what does someone who’s played in a massive event like the WSOP expect to see in Vegas this year? We caught up with him to find out.
What route did you take to the final WSOP Satellite?
I played your $80 qualifiers daily and won about three tickets for the $750 qualifier on Sunday and bought in one time directly. On my fourth try I won the WSOP ticket.
Tell us how the final WSOP Satellite went. What were the key moments?
I don’t remember the tournament exactly because for me the tournament is hundreds of tournaments ago now.
I remember we had a really long bubble with five players left and four prize packages to win. That meant I was really happy when the second shortest stack busted (I think he was called by [Ax][Kx] and lost) because I had the shortest stack at that moment.
Tell us about your PartyPoker story.
I started doing sports betting on bwin and then I got into online poker there too.
When the poker boom began in Germany I decided to try a few online sites besides bwin – one of them was PartyPoker.com. After a short while PartyPoker was the site I loved most. Now I’ve only been playing on PartyPoker (with very few exceptions) for about four years.
I really like the platform and the tournament structures. The round numbers in the blind levels are very nice too, especially in Sit & Go’s. The VIP treatment and promotions are also very good.
Tell us how you feel about your Vegas trip.
I went last year and played the main event after I qualified through PartyPoker. It was my first big tournament and I was really excited. I loved Las Vegas and enjoyed my trip last year very much. So, it is not new for me, but I am still as excited as I was last year. I am really happy that I qualified again.
What do you think about the WSOP?
I sometimes watch the WSOP on TV. The WSOP Main Event is the most important event for me and I will try to play it as often as possible in the future.
Any poker players you would love to meet and play against at WSOP?
Yes, I would love to meet Phil Ivey, Daniel Negreanu, Gus Hansen, Tom Dwan, Doyle Brunson, Dan Harrington, David Sklansky and a lot more. I definitely don’t want to see them at my table though!
If you fancy winning a $14,000 WSOP prize package, there’s still time for you to win yours here.
