Day 3 of the $60 million POWERFEST saw another 30 champions crowned, including a familiar face in the POWERFEST #016-SHR: $1M Gtd Championship Event.
Leon Tsoukernik, owner of the King’s Casino in Rozvadov, hosts of the World Series of Poker Circuit Kings and World Series of Poker Europe, topped a field of 204 entrants to scoop the $207,978 first-place prize. Let’s read more about this and the other big Day 3 results in our recap of the action.

$60 million POWERFEST Day 3 highlights
POWERFEST #016-SHR: $1M Gtd Championship Event

Some 204 players bought into the Championship Event for $5,200 on Day 3 of POWERFEST to create a $1,020,000 prize pool. This was shared among the top 32 finishers, with a min-cash being worth $10,608 and a final table appearance boosting the prize to $23,460.
Two of Team partypoker busted short of the money. Joni “JJouhki” Jouhkimainen fell in 36th place with Roberto “WelshWizard” Romanello exiting in 35th place.
Patrick “Patrick_Leonard” Leonard did make it into the money, eventually busting in 11th place for $18,156.
The eight-handed final table was the home to some of online poker’s greats. The likes of “mczhang” and “HellmuthTheGr8” saw their tournaments come to an abrupt end in sixth and fifth-place respectively for scores of $42,840 and $56,100.
“Chelsea72”, a regular in our biggest tournaments, fell in third-place for $107,610 to leave Tsoukernik and “helicopterben82” to lock horns heads-up for the title.
It was a battle that Tsoukernik would come out on top of. Tsoukernik won the $207,978 top prize, leaving helicopterben82 to bank $150,960.
Speaking to partypoker after his impressive victory, Tsoukernik said: “I only fired one bullet and am really delighted. I felt focused and in the zone the whole time. “I saw that Patrick Leonard and Michael Zhang had deep runs and know how great they are as players. I’m just so happy, I love to play the best players.and it is so satisfying to survive in their company. I ended up heads-up against Mikita Badziakouski, who is truly an amazing player. This one is for all those businessmen out there!”

“PokerBrothersTM” is almost $50,000 richer today thanks to triumphing in the POWERFEST #017-HR: $300K Gtd PKO Mix-Max on Day 3 of the $60 million guaranteed festival.
$24,205 of their $49,705 haul came from the 11 bounties, including their own, claimed on their way to victory, the highest number of eliminations of any of the 600 entrants in this event.
Team partypoker’s Philipp “Phil_Gruissem” Gruissem cashed in 39th place for $712 plus $508 worth of bounties, but the day belonged to PokerBrothersTM.
A special mention has to go to fourth-placed “Chelsea72” who netted a combined $13,115. They would later go on to finish third in the $1 million guaranteed Championship Event for an additional $107,610.

Two of Team partypoker’s stable navigated their way into the money of POWERFEST #018-HR: $500K Gtd, but fell short of glory. Anatoly “NL_Profit” Filatov exited in 38th place for $2,948 with French superstar Bertrand “ElkY” Grospellier netting $7,075 for his 11th place finish.
The player of the tournament, and a worth champion, was “KERRMODE” who won massive $99,910 after defeating “summuNNN” heads-up for the title, resigning the runner-up to a still impressive $71,020 prize. KERRMODE finished second in a similar tournament at the last POWERFEST in May and banked $69,430. They made amends for being the bridesmaid on that occasion by securing the victory here.
