A field of 312 entrants meant the POWERFEST #095-SHR: $1M Gtd Championship Event had it’s guarantee beaten by more than 50 percent, an incredible result for sure.
Two members of Team partypoker went deep in this event. Roberto “WelshWizard” Romanello burst the final table bubble, crashing out in ninth-place for a $24,180 score. Russian sensation Anatoly “NL_Profit” Filatov saw his tournament come to an abrupt end in fourth-place. This impressive result banked Filatov a cool $114,660 and was his second six-figure score of this POWERFEST.
Three of poker’s Goliaths clashed after Filatov exited. Swedish superstar Niklas “Drulitooo” Astedt busted in third-place and walked away with $157,560 to leave Jon “sordykrd” Van Fleet and Ben “CowEyed” Tollerene to lock horns heads up.
Both Tollerene and Van Fleet have enjoyed huge scores at partypoker. Tollerene won almost $850,000 by taking down the $25,500 Super High Roller during a 2017 POWERFEST, while Van Fleet won the inaugural MILLIONS Online for more than $1 million.
Tollerene got his hands on the $310,440 first-place prize in this event, while Van Fleet had to make do with a $224,640 boost to his bankroll.
