Mexico-based Joshua “slayerv1fan” Hoesel took down the POWERFEST #070-HR: $$300K Gtd 6-Max on September 12 and turned $1,050 into a massive score worth $74,000.
Hoesel has almost $2.5 million in online poker tournament winnings and was once ranked as high as 61st in the world by PocketFives. This $74,000 haul is the sixth-largest cash of Hoesel’s online career. Two of his larger scores came in previous editions of POWERFEST. One saw Hoesel win $81,510 for finishing fourth in a $1 million guaranteed High Roller and the other weighed in at $176,445 when he finished second in another $1 million guaranteed event, both in May 2017.
“dubble_me_up” was this tournament’s runner-up, a finish worth $54,760. Everyone at the final table banked at least $14,060 for their efforts. Well-known pro “broooooooooo” busted in fifth-place for $20,350 to take their lifetime winnings to a shade under $4 million.

The POWERFEST #069-HR: $200K Gtd PKO ended in a heads-up deal that saw “SadaiKitetsu” and Rafael “rafaelmoraesgm” Moraes walk away with a combined $65,680.
SadaiKitetsu was crowned champion and took home $19,671 from the main prize pool plus $19,790 worth of bounties, while Moraes claimed $17,520 and $8,699 from the bounty prize pool.
Also at the final table was the talented British pro Michael Chi “mczhang” Zhang who fell in eighth-place for $1,959 plus $3,424 worth of bounties. You may recall Zhang triumphed in the partypoker LIVE MILLIONS Germany €50,000 Super High Roller for a huge €800,000 score after defeating Italy’s Mustapha Kanit heads-up.

Team partypoker’s Patrick “Patrick_Leonard” Leonard narrowly missed out on his second title of the $60 million guaranteed POWERFEST when he reached the final table of the POWERFEST #072-HR: $100K Gtd Fast PKO.
Leonard crashed out in eighth-place and banked $1,345 and the exact same amount from the bounty prize pool.
The eventual winner was “AussieOsbourne” who defeated the talented Russian “PhileasFogg” heads-up to secure a combined prize of $26,583. PhileasFogg, the runner-up, netted a combined $12,099 and now has more than $7.5 million in online poker tournament winnings!
