Day 13 of the $40 million guaranteed POWERFEST took place on Thursday 17th May with the crowning of another 22 champions.

POWERFEST #71-HR: $200K Gtd 6-Max PKO NL Hold’em

Finnish star Sami “LarsLuzak1” Kelopuro banked a cool $63,414 by walking away with the title of POWERFEST #71-HR: $200K Gtd 6-Max PKO NL Hold’em champion. Kelopuro was one of 299 players in the $1,050 buy-in event, a field that created a prize pool with $104,980 more than the original guarantee.

Team partypoker’s Joao “joaosimaobh” Simao fell in 19th place to secure a $1,345 payout plus an additional $3,607 in bounty payments, while his teammate Patrick “Patrick_Leonard” Leonard navigated his way to the final table where he bust in sixth-place for $5,931 in bounty payments and $5,980 from the prize pool.

Kelopuro found himself heads-up against “ZeKick” who had eliminated 18 opponents for a massive $20,105 bounty payout. Kelopuro finally sent his final opponent to the sidelines to win $34,112 for first-place and $29,302 in bounties.

POWERFEST #70-HR: $200K Gtd PKO NL Hold’em

Joao “joaosimaobh” Simao played his way to 24th place in the POWERFEST #70-HR: $200K Gtd PKO NL Hold’em event and locked up $1,023 and $1,607 in bounties, but the player of the hour was “aLiNeNok1617” who emerged victorious to scoop $21,206 and an additional $15,662 in bounties.

A field of 450 entries saw the $200,000 guarantee smashed by $30,625. Half of the prize pool was awarded to the top 64 finishers with the other half reserved for the PKO element of the tourament.

aLiNeNok1617 ocked horns with “Loewe80” heads-up and managed to brush them aside to take home almost $37,000 in prizes. The runner-up didn’t do too badly for themselves either as they had more than $20,000 added to their partypoker account.

POWERFEST #71-H: $200K Gtd 6-Max PKO NL Hold’em ended in a heads-up chop between “Buehlero” and “ImSeriously” who netted a combined $47,810 between them.

“Buehlero” won $13,896 in bounties to go with the $14,625 to struck a deal for. “ImSeriously” walked away with $14,264 as part of the aforementioned deal plus $5,025 worth of bounties.
