Day 3 of the $30 million guaranteed KO Series was another fantastic day of PKO action. Another 16 champions were crowned and an additional $2,190,170 paid out, taking the total prize money awarded to $8,799,744 with more than 220 events still in the pipeline.
It was a good day for four members of Team partypoker who reached KO Series final tables.
Dzmitry “Dzmitry_Urbanov” Urbanovic busted from the KO Series #13-H: $40K Gtd PLO 6-Max in fourth-place for a combined prize worth $2,874. Travis “DramaticDegen” Darroch, Josip “JozinhoPP” Simunic and Roberto “R_Romanello” Romanello managed to win even more money. How much. Let’s find out.

A bumper crowd of 1,776 entrants competed in the KO Series #11-H: $200K Gtd 6-Max event, which was played on six-handed tables to make matters even more exciting than usual.
Each of the six finalists locked up at least $2,501 plus more than $1,400 worth of bounties, impressive stuff from a $109 buy-in affair. Team Online’s Travis “DramaticDegen” Darroch was the final table’s first casualty, his sixth-place finish seeing him pad his bankroll with $4,094 in total.
Darroch was joined on the rail by “Keinemusik” and “Edi_BaLaDa” who took home $5,700 and $8,729 respectively, the latter being the final player not to win a five-figure prize.
$10,936 and third-place went to “YolanThePro” which set up a heads-up clash between “Ruonis200099” and “GimmeHummus”. It was the latter who emerged from the battle unscathed and with $20,210 in their hands. Second-place was worth a still cool $14,609.

Roberto “R_Romanello” Romanello was another member of Team partypoker who saw his KO Series event end in sixth-place. Romanello’s sixth-place in the $1,050 buy-in KO Series #14-HR: $200K Gtd 8-Max Fast event saw him walk away with $7,230 when bounties were taking into consideration.
Romanello outlasted “NOLIMITHOLDEM” and “qpakup” at the final table, those players scooped $4,993 and $3,357 respectively. Everyone’s favourite Welshman had to watch from the sidelines as “Player123560423” and “StrawberryGirl” walked away with $6,217 and $13,194.
“SovseFlemming” was the penultimate elimination. Their third-place exit netted them $14,742, sending the tournament into the heads-up phase. “SomaPowered” ran out of steam to crash out in second-place, securing an impressive $30,264, with “jknack10” claiming the title and the lion’s share of the prize pool, namely $37,629.

Our Austrian Team Pro Josip “JozinhoPP” Simunic, who recently penned a blog on the Team Pro site, went a couple of places deeper than Darroch and Romanello. He busted from the $109 buy-in KO Series #14-H: $100K Gtd 8-Max Fast event in fourth-place.
This locked up a $4,415 prize for Simunic, but knowing him as we do, he will have been disappointed to have navigated his way so deep and not win. That honour was bestowed on “PickleFarmer” who defeated “RiverOffice” heads-up for the title. PickleFarmer banked $14,704 with RiverOffice netting $10,092.
No doubt Simunic will be back in action on Day 4 to try and secure a KO Series title.
