Hold onto your hats because we’ve got some exciting news for you. partypoker and the World Poker Tour (WPT) are joining forces again to bring you the WPT World Online Championship and the schedule is nothing short of incredible.
The inaugural WPT Online Series was a roaring success thanks to your support. Almost $53 million was paid out during the festival but the WPT World Online Championship will payout at least $100 million!
We’re delighted to reveal the schedule for the 12 championship events coming your way between July 18 and September 8. Each of the Championship events has three buy-in levels, opening the door to everyone to become a WPT champion. These events come with buy-ins of $33, $320, and $320, except the Main Event, but more on that later.
It’s a Pot-Limit Omaha Hi/Low event that kicks off the Championship events’ schedule. The trio of PLO8 tournaments run over three days and have combined guarantees weighing in at $680,000.
You don’t need to wait long to play in the first event with a seven-figure guaranteed prize pool. #02 World Championship Pot-Limit Omaha kicks off on July 25 and runs for three days. The $3,200 edition has a cool $1 million guaranteed.
Things get even bigger on August 1 because that’s when the first trio of No-Limit Hold’em events shuffle up and deal. The $33 edition has $300,000 guaranteed, the $320 guarantees $1 million, but the $3,200 buy-in boasts of a $3 million guaranteed prize pool!
$16 Million Guaranteed in the WPT World Championship Main Events
No festival would be complete with some huge main events and this one has THREE to get involved with.
Both the $109 Micro and $1,050 Mini are four-day events with Day 1A starting on August 29. There’s $1 million guaranteed in the $109 Micro Main Event and $5 million up for grabs in the $1,050 Mini Main Event!
The $10,300 Main Event begins the following week on September 5 and we can’t wait for this one. At least $10 million, that’s an eight-figure guarantee, will be won from that one tournament alone!
Winning the $10,300 Main Event not only immortalises you in poker’s history books, but it also sees you become a member of the exclusive Champions Club and grants you a $15,000 seat in the WPT Tournament of Champions presented by Baccarat Crystal with your travel and accommodation paid for by the WPT!
Four other events do the same, they are the $3,200 buy-in 6-Max, 8-Max, Mix-Max, and Knockout. This $15,000 seat is being added on top of the already massive prize pools!
Massive Super High Rollers Scheduled
A pair of Super High Roller tournaments are sure to bring the very best poker tournament players to partypoker. A three-day $25,500 Super High Roller takes place from September 12 and sees another $10 million guaranteed. eptember 16 sees the first day of the $102,000 buy-in Super High Roller, an event with no less than $5 million waiting to be won.
