IRISH OPEN 2018 - €1,000,000 GTD

The Irish Open is ‘Dublin’ its prizepool this year from €500,000 to an incredible €1,000,000 GTD!

Hosted in the charming countryside surroundings of Citywest Hotel in Dublin, the €1,150 main event kicks-off Wednesday 14th March. The festival itself begins Monday 12th March.

The longest running NL Hold’em tournament in Europe, the Irish Poker Open is marking its 36th edition in style with an astonishing €1,000,000 GTD! Players are entitled to one re-entry.

Interwoven with the very fabric of poker itself, the Irish Poker Open has been a long-standing fixture in the poker calendar since 1980. Participants have included hall-of-famers such as Doyle Brunson, Chip Reese and Stu Ungar.

When?

The Irish Open runs across five days with Day 1A starting Wednesday 14th March (14:00 GMT is the start time for each day’s play). Day 1B follows on Thursday 15th.

Day 2 plays out on Friday 16th, followed by Day 3 on Saturday 17th.

Finally, cards are in the air on the Final Table Sunday 18th!

Citywest Hotel is just a 25 minute drive from Dublin International Airport. There are direct flights to Dublin from most UK airports, as well as major European cities such as Amsterdam, Paris, Barcelona, Málaga, Madrid, Frankfurt, Brussles and Copenhagen. The Luas provides fast, safe and reliable transfers from Dublin City Centre to Citywest Hotel via the Red Line.

There are 2,000+ free car parking spaces at Citywest Hotel.

From Dublin International Airport:

Leave Dublin Airport and follow signs for the M50 Motorway southbound.
Travel on the M50 southbound through the toll bridge and take exit 9 off the M50, towards Limerick and Cork.
After approximately 8 km you will see a sign for Citywest Hotel, labelled 3a, take this exit.
Exit off the N7 and carry on straight for approximately 1km. The Hotel entrance will be on your right hand side.

Directions from Dublin City Centre:

From the City Centre, follow signs for the N7/Cork/Limerick/ Naas Road southbound.
Continue onto the N7 and after approximately 8 km you will see a sign for Citywest Hotel, labelled 3a, take this exit.
Exit off the N7 and carry on straight for approximately 1km. The Hotel entrance will be on your right hand side.

Directions from Dublin Port:

Leave Dublin Port and follow signs for the M50 Motorway southbound.

Exit off the N7 and carry on straight for approximately 1km. The Hotel entrance will be on your right hand side.

Directions from Limerick, Cork and Kerry:

Follow the N7 through Naas, towards Dublin City Centre.
Take the exit signed posted for Saggart.
Drive into Saggart and turn left at the crossroads, following the signs for Citywest Hotel.
After half a kilometre the entrance to Citywest Hotel will be on the left.

BY BUS

Citywest Hotel is serviced by the 69 Bus route from Dublin City Centre, stop number 3426. The bus stops at the gate of the Hotel, just a 5 minute walk from the Hotel.

Where to stay

The 2018 Irish Open is being held at the Citywest Hotel, Dublin.
