Amateur player Robertas Gordonas recorded only his second live cash to date but this time it was a significant one, overcoming a massive field of 5,141 competitors to emerge as the champion and claim a whopping £150,000. This was quite the return for a relatively humble £220 buy-in, but Jamie Whyte will have just as much cause for celebration after he span a $2.20 partypoker satellite win into a third place finish worth £70,750.
Runner up Richard King not only banked an incredible £100,000 for second place but also won a $10,000 package to the Caribbean Poker Party thanks to the Golden Chip he pocketed for qualifying online at partypoker. Elsewhere, partypoker representative Charlie Godwin finished in 23rd for £4,500.
