After listening to player feedback, there will be even more chances for players to qualify and win hefty prizes from the WPT® World Championship Online, the highlight of the WPT World Online Championships, as the Mini and Main editions of the tournament will be extended.
The WPT World Championship Online Main Event offers a guarantee of $10,000,000 and has a buy-in of $10,300. Day 1A for the tournament will be held on Sunday, September 6, 2020. Day 1B has been moved to Sunday, September 13. Days 2, 3 and 4 will take place on the following three days, with the tournament concluding on Wednesday, September 16.
Players will now have plenty of opportunities to qualify for Day 1B, even if they bust on day 1A. A satellite schedule for these events will be confirmed in due course.
In the WPT World Championship Online Mini, Day 1A is scheduled for Sunday, August 30, with Day 1B taking place on Sunday, September 6. Days 2 and 3 will follow, with the final table playing out on Tuesday, September 8. The tournament is guaranteed at $5,000,000 and the buy-in is $1,050.
The WPT World Championship Online Micro, with a guarantee of $1,000,000 and a buy-in of $109, will keep to its original schedule for the whole four days, with Day 1A scheduled for Saturday, August 29, and the final day set for Tuesday, September 1. This will allow for the Micro, along with the Mini and the Main, to be live-streamed on partypokerTV, our Twitch channel – giving players their chance to shine in front of live viewers.
