Aaaahhh, the smell of the Mediterranean sea! Is there anything better than waking up to Muse and tapas? YES THERE IS! Waking up knowing there is another WPT in front of us and this one is very special to me as it was the first WPT I ever started working at a year ago.
I remember arriving to the airport in the middle of the night, being dropped off at the street and full of fear on how I shall perform. But everyone was so friendly and embraced me immediately and today felt exactly the same, only now I have my experience with me.
It was so lovely to start the opening video by shooting scenes at the beach in front of the casino, then having a staff brief at the local restaurant while the breeze was cooling us down as we ordered coffee and decided on what exciting materials we shall prepare for our viewers this week.
There is something special about walking to your work place barefoot in the sand and then quickly putting the shoes on, grabbing a dress and turning into a professional TV host – it’s almost like being a spy!
Walking down the familiar steps, I heard the voice of Leo Margets, my hot mamassita who has been crushing poker tables for a long time and catching up with her, seeing Lee’s new hairdo (SICK MOAWK!), listening to Thomas Kremser say: ‘Shuffle up and deal!’ and placing myself in the media room….
Yes, it’s nice to experience new things but it is also comforting to come back to a place u know well… so I hope to see many players I have seen last year and enjoy some good poker action because the past two WPT tournaments were absolutely lovely – Vienna gave us an incredible field and Bratislava…the Kempinski hotel, ahhh… So, enough of daydreaming in the sun, good luck everyone! it is time to shuffle up and deal!
