The online portion of the 2022 Amateur Poker Association & Tour (APAT) World Championship Of Amateur Poker (WCOAP) is now in full swing, and the $75,000 guaranteed Championship event is just around the corner. Three more partypoker players have become 2022 WCOAP champions this week, keep reading to discover who they are.
WCOAP #03 6-Max Final Table Results
The third event of the series was a six-handed no-limit hold’em affair that saw 352 players flock to the partypoker tables. Those 352 players locked horns in an attempt to get their hands on some of the $25,000 prize pool.
By the time the seven-handed final table was set, the least anyone would take home was $611. This was the prize awarded to Leonardo Azevedo of Brazil, the first finalist to bow out.
Petras Gorodincenko ($769) and Joao De Medeiros ($968) were the next players to find themselves void of chips. De Medeiros was the last of the finalists not to turn their $55 buy-in into a four-figure score.
Michael Skenicka, a Czech player who our recent €0.01 to €11,000 winner rates highly, finished in fourth for $1,375 before Marcus Miller lost their stack and had to make do with the $2,033 third-place prize.
Heads-up saw Dirk Wiele of Germany take on the United Kingdom’s Alex Montgomery. The final two players did not strike a deal despite a 25 buy-in difference in prize money. This meant Wiele banked $4,131 when he came out on top of the one-on-one battle, leaving Montgomery to collect the $2,893 consolation prize.

WCOAP #04 FLHE Final Table Results

The lion’s share of that pot went to the United Kingdom’s Simon Brooke, who got his hands on $927 after he defeated fellow Brit Robert Hallworth heads-up. Six of the nine finalists hailed from the UK, so it was odds on one of them was going to come away with the top prize in tow.
