The first man onto the scoreboard in Group B is Talal Shakerchi, although he hasn’t got as many point as he’d have liked. “Not what he’d have had his eye on,” said Jesse May in the commentary booth.
In his exit hand he was down to just 109,000 and had little choice but to three-bet all-in with pocket jacks over Dan Shak’s open. Unfortunately for him Shak had pocket kings and his hand held up on a nine high board.
“I think he’s going to play a lot tighter in the second heat,” said Phil Hellmuth as Shakerchi exited the table.
