Vytautas Semaska raised four-times the big blind to 2,000,000, Skhulukhiya responded with a three-bet to 3,500,000, and Bernhauser four-bet jammed for 10,100,000. Semaska folded, but Skhulukhiya called, turning over . Bernhauser’s was in front but only as far as the flop. The turn and river completed the board, and confirmed Bernhausser’s demise.

Skhulukhiya continued crushing by claiming the tournament life of Semaska. He raised to 1,500,000 with before calling Semaska’s 2,625,000 shove, which he made with . Skhulukhiya stayed behind on the flop but caught a four on the turn, and a king on the river to reduce the player count by one.

A battle of the blinds resulted in Gill bowing out in third and the tournament progressing to the heads-up stage. Gill open-shoved for five big blinds with from the small blind. Skhulukhiya called with from the big blinds, and improved to the best hand on the board. That hand gave Skhulukhiya a 67,900,000 to 15,850,000 chip advantage over Robert Heidorn going into heads-up.
