Each group has now played its allocated four heats but there is still the playoffs to complete. The Group A playoff will see Scott Seiver and Antonio Esfandiari, who finished fourth and fifth respectively in the heats, take on each other in a best-of-three heads-up battle.
Whoever wins two matches will progress to Saturday night’s final table. They will not, however, pick up any additional points. Should Seiver progress he will start the fial table with 230,000 chips, while Esfandiari will be slightly shorter with 210,000 chips.
In the heads-up playoff, each player will start with 100,000 chips and the blinds will increase every 14 hands. This could be an explosive encounter, with both players being very adept at one-on-one play.
