What do you like to do for entertainment on a Saturday night? Enjoy a takeaway? Watch a movie? Paint the town red? Almost 150 PartyPoker players decided to jump into The Big Saturday this weekend and play for a share of a guaranteed $30,000.

A field of 148 entrants bought into the latest edition of The Big Saturday, with the top 27 finishers securing at least $464 for their efforts. Spare a thought for “TweetYganG” who fell in 28th place, burst the money bubble, and was the last player to log off without any prize money to show for their efforts.

All but two of the nine grinders that navigated their way to the final table saw their $215 investment swell to four-figure, significantly boosting that all-important Return On Investment (ROI)!

The Big Saturday Final Table Results

Place Player Prize
1 DeezNutzz4 $5,882
2 GoodKat $4,104
3 TheTourist92 $2,899
4 GTOUTOFMYSHOP $2,005

6 Sigurd228822 $1,245
7 dinkapanna $1,044
8 Pourrap808 $894
9 SafakKac $771

Ninth place and $771 went to “SafakKac” before “Pourrap808” saw their tournament run end in an eighth-place finish worth $894. With Pourrap808 out of the way, only seven players remained in contention for the title, each having guaranteed themselves $1,000+ prizes on Saturday night.

The first four-figure prize went to “dinkapanna,” who busted in seventh. “Sigurd228822” busted in sixth for $1,245, with “kot_sparac74” reeling in the $1,497 fifth prize. As you can see, the pay jumps continued widening with every elimination, making for a thrilling finale with plenty at stake.

“GTOUTOFMYSHOP” got out of the The Big Saturday with the $2,005 fourth-place prize, before the tournament progressed to heads-up when “TheTourist92” bowed out in third, a finish good for $2,899.

Nobody would have been surprised has the last two players struck a deal because a $1,778 difference in prize money isn’t to be sniffed at. However, there was no deal, and that meant “GoodKat” headed into the night with a $4,104 runner-up prize, while “DeezNutzz4” captured the $5,882 top prize, the title of champion, and bragging rights, the latter being priceless in the poker community.
