Another two Grand Prix KO Autumn champions have been crowned after the $215 buy-in $200,000 guaranteed 6-Max Championship and the $22 buy-in $75,000 guaranteed Mini 6-Max Championship events concluded in the early hours of October 14.
Both Marijan Rankic of Slovenia, and Brazil’s Fernando Tragueta became poker champions, wrote their names into PartyPoker’s history books, and padded their bankrolls with chunky prizes, giving them plenty of ammunition for the remaining PKO events on the schedule.
The $215 6-Max Championship drew in 948 PartyPoker players from all corners of the globe. Only 140 of those punched their Day 2 tickets, and Croatian grinder Marijan Rankic outlasted them all.
The Day 2 field was littered with household names, such as Fabio Sperling, Daniel Smyth, Martins Adeniya, Tomas Fara, and final table bubble boy Boris Angelov.
With bounties included, each of the finalists locked in more than $5,000 for their efforts. Estonia’s Jesus Ucero was the six-handed final table’s first casualty. He headed into the cold of the night with $5,144 in tow.
Sander Totuli, a regular in PartyPoker tournaments, fell in fifth for $6,361 before Denmark’s Jonathan Harlin saw his $215 turn into $10,112 as his deep run ended in a fourth-place finish.
Third place and $11,750 went to Joao Vieira, with Vieira’s untimely demise leaving Rankic heads-up against Adam Hari, representing Hungary. Both players banked near as damn it $14,000 from the main prize pool, but the final bounty payment was also worth five figures. The $12,554 final bounty went to Rankic, meaning his victory came with $26,554, while Hari consoled himself with a $15,269 runner-up prize.

Tragueta Takes Down Mini 6-Max Championship
The Mini 6-Max Championship was only mini in name because a staggering 3,351 PartyPoker players bought in for $22 and fought it out for the lion’s share of $75,000. Almost one-tenth of that pot is now nestled in the account of Brazil’s Fernando Tragueta, a worth champion if ever we saw one.
The bumper crowd ensured everyone at the final table took home more than $1,700 for their $22 investment. Jan Nielsen ($1,717), Anatoly Zuev ($1,616), Victor Martins ($2,797), and Baptiste Scorsone ($3,991) hit the showers one after another, leaving Tragueta heads-up against Martin “Marty” Mathis.
You may recall Mathis won the PartyPoker LIVE MILLIONS South America Main Event for $873,700 in 2019. Mathis may have been the favourite for victory going into the heads-up clash, but Tragueta defied the odds, eliminated Mathis in second-place, and claimed $7,139 in cold hard cash for himself. Mathis had to make do with a $5,403 runner-up score.
