Simao wasn’t the only Team partypoker player to reach the money place because Roberto Romanello continued in his good form to finish 19th for $375 and whatever bounties he collected along the way. By the time the final table was set, $665 was the least anyone would take home.

One of the world’s best online poker tournament players, Sweden’s “HellmuthTheGr8” was one of the favourites to win this event but he crashed out in fourth place, paving the way for Simao to become a POWERFEST champion.

Our hero defeated “kartalselami” heads-up to secure the title and the $6,945 prize, plus bounty payments and points for the POWERFEST Leaderboards; Simao currently occupies ninth-place in the High Leaderboard, which means he is on course for $1,500 in cash.
