Brazilian sensation Renato “renatonomura” Nomura helped himself to yet another major online poker tournament title at partypoker on April 15 when he got his hands on yet another POWERFEST first-place prize.
Nomura’s teammate Ludovic “Gr4vyBo4t” Geilich twice came close to victory, once in a $2,100 and again in a $1,050 buy-in event. Which ones? Let’s find out.
POWERFEST: $75K Gtd 8-Max Deepstack
POWERFEST: $75K Gtd 8-Max Deepstack drew in a crowd of 176 entries who helped created an $88,000 prize pool. It was one of our own, Team partypoker’s Renato “rentaonomura” Nomura who secured the lion’s share of the prize pool.
Nomura came out on top to turn his $$530 into a more substantial $19,474. It was no easy task either with some of the most recognisable aliases competing for that top prize.
A handful of those names made it to the final table, too. “N0GUTSNOGloryAA” was one of those stellar names. Their appearance at the final table ended in eighth-place, a finish worth $2,240.
“Sundaynightking” is a name you surely recognise. They fell in third for a $10,208 addition to their bankroll. Nomura defeated “ChilliConFahne” heads-up to secure the title, leaving the runner-up to collect $13,992.

POWERFEST: $100K Gtd 6-Max PLO
Sixty players exchanged $2,100 for the chance to win the POWERFEST: $100K Gtd 6-Max PLO and two members of Team partypoker came close to doing exactly that.
There are few players in the world better with four hole cards than Joni “Jjouhk” Jouhkimainen. His luck ran out as the final table kicked off, meaning he had to make do with the $5,400 sixth-place prize.
“NILAos” and “Cacacacacacacaca” followed suit, doing so having secured payouts of $7,800 and $10,800.
Then it was time for “bitw1” to fall by the wayside. Third-place in this tournament weighed in at $14,440.
Heads-up pitted Ludovic “Gr4vyBo4t” Geilich against “NoMoreBets85” and there were no more bets for Geilich as he crashed and burned in second-place. Knowing Geilich as we do, he’ll be happy to bank $27,000 but gutted to have not won.
Congratulations to the champion, NoMoreBets85, who walked away with $41,508 reasons to be happy.

The final table was packed with high stakes regulars, including “mararthur1”, “patience” and “WatchMeDance”.
Third-place went to another familiar name in “MoStack” who won $6,591 plus $2,535 from the bounty prize pool Their exit left Geilich and “Fedor_Holz” as the last standing players. Those two became one when Fedor_Holz won the one-on-one battle.
Fedor_Holz netted $9,232 plus $18,768 worth of bounties. Our hero won a similar $9,223 from the main prize pool plus $2,356 from the bounty prize pool.
